On-Site Diagnostic Testing for Faster Answers
Why Fast Diagnostics Matter for Dogs
Diagnostic Tools We Use for Canine Patients
Our diagnostic workup for dogs may include complete blood counts and chemistry panels to evaluate organ function, urinalysis to screen for kidney disease or urinary tract infections, fecal testing for intestinal parasites, and digital radiographs (x-rays) to evaluate bone, joint, and soft tissue structures. For dogs showing signs of lameness or joint pain, radiographs help our veterinarians distinguish between soft tissue injury, arthritis, and orthopedic conditions such as hip or elbow dysplasia, which are more common in certain larger breeds.
We also run tick-borne disease panels for dogs presenting with lethargy, joint pain, or fever, since Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, and ehrlichiosis are all present in the Feasterville area and can mimic other conditions if not specifically tested for.
