Jacqueline H Menninger, VMD

Owner & Veterinarian

Hi, my name is Dr. Menninger. I  purchased the practice in 1996 from Dr. Blumhardt, who retired after 40 years. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School in 1990.  Initially, I worked for a very busy 10-doctor practice, gaining much experience in surgery and medicine. After that I then worked locally and started The Family Pet Clinic. Peter, my husband installed and continues to help upgrade the clinic’s computer system. We have 2 children and 2 grand-children to keep us busy when we are not working! In our spare time we enjoy sailing together and racing Lightnings.  I have a Jack Russell, named Lightning that I love so much!

Karen Becker, VMD

Associate Veterinarian

Hi, my name is Dr. Karen Becker. I  started working at FPC in June 2016! I  graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and have enjoyed working as a small animal veterinarian since 2003. I’m committed to my patients and have a great appreciation for the human- animal bond. In my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters, and many pets.

Heather Kellermann, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Hi, my name is Dr. Heather Kellermann. I just joined the FPC family in October 2018. I graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, which is located on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean. I did my last year of study at Louisana State University. I’ve previously worked at small animal practices in Mechanicsburg, Pa and Jenkintown, Pa. I have a cute island dog from St. Kitts named Charlie, and four cats Franklin Toesevelt, Eleanor, Bella, and Norbert.

Robert Burleigh, VMD

Associate Veterinarian

Hi, my name is Dr. Robert Burleigh.I just recently joined the FPC team in June 2019. I have been a Veterinarian for 48 years. I went to Purdue and University of Pennsylvania. For 43 years, I operated Abington Animal Hospital until I sold the practice. I have a wonderful wife and three children. 

Tobi Maser, DVM

Associate Veterinarian (Surgery Only)

Hi, My name is Tobi Maser. I graduated in 2006 from Ross University and Missouri University. I was previously working in New York, and then in South Jersey for the last ten years at a 24 hour animal hospital. Recently, I decided to stop the commute and spend more time with my family, so I started at FPC to be closer to home. I have two kids along with a rescue cat and dog. I enjoy preforming surgeries and doing dental procedures. In my free time, I enjoy working out, being outdoors, and traveling. 

Danielle Forwood, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Danielle Forwood was born and raised in Chester County in Kemblesville, PA. In 2012, she attended Penn State University for her Bachelor in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences. In 2017, she went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Forwood is Fear Free Certified and her areas of professional interest include pocket pet medicine, pain management, and anesthesiology/surgery.Her desire to help both animals and people inspired her to become a veterinarian, as she enjoys the problem-solving aspect of the veterinary medical field. One of her favorite parts of working as a veterinarian is helping pet owners provide the best care possible for their family pets.

Dr. Forwood currently lives in Cinnaminson, NJ with her husband, Matt, dog, Cody, and guinea pig, Darla. When she’s not tending to animals, she enjoys reading, gardening, and hiking. A fun fact about Dr. Forwood is that she once spent two weeks in Iquitos, Peru, a town that is only accessible by air or water, where she worked as a volunteer for a spay/neuter campaign.

Katelyn Painter, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Katelyn Painter is an Associate Veterinarian at Family Pet Clinic. She earned her B.A. at Skidmore College in 2012 and went on to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Painter also earned her Fear Free Certification, and her areas of professional interest include behavior, soft-tissue surgery, and diagnostic imaging. 
 
Growing up riding and showing horses, she always knew she wanted to work with animals. Dr. Painter believes the best part of being a veterinarian is helping to educate owners and provide preventative care in order to maximize the amount of quality time we get to spend with our pets.
 
Dr. Painter currently lives in Ewing, NJ and shares her home with Sydney, a mixed breed dog she adopted in the mid-west during veterinary school, and Hedwig, a guinea pig. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, going to see live music, and yoga. 

Stephanie C., B.S., M.S.

Practice Manager

My name is Stephanie Claffey and I have been working here since 2001. I started working here part time in college and continued throughout graduate school. I love being the practice manager and even more so enjoy working in a family business.  Working for such a caring, and progressive animal hospital is what is most important to me. Every staff member and doctor here truly cares about all of our patients and most importantly their pet parents.Managing our inventory, the doctors & staffs schedules, our business finances and everything related to human resources here at FPC are just a part of my everyday. I try to attend as many veterinary management conferences as possible, and truly enjoy coming to work everyday. I am working towards a practice management certification and only want to better myself and the FPC team.  I enjoy spending time with my husband as we chase around our children, Taylor and Harrison. In the summer, I am at the beach as much as possible and in the winter we hit the slopes!

Heather U., CVT

Marketing/Public Relations Supervisor, Treatment & Surgical Technician, & Behavior Health Technician

I am a certified veterinary technician and I have been working at FPC since May 2001. I went to Manor College and received my Veterinary Technician License in December 2003. I am also the Promotional Supervisor here and work with all of our distributors to provide current information on all pet related products. Canine and Feline behavior is my passion and I am currently working towards my vet tech specialist degree (VTS) in behavior! I see behavioral appointments on Friday mornings and work with puppy training. I currently have 2 rescue kitties named Icy and Warrior and a bearded dragon named Yoshi. I love to give advice, If you have a specific behavioral question or concern, email me and I’ll write you back!

Technician Supervisor, Treatment Technician, & Surgical Technician

I have been working at FPC since 2002. I graduated from Manor College and passed my boards receiving my Veterinary Technician License. I am a full-time technician and enjoy helping in surgery and organizing our technician’s appointments. I love being the tech supervisor because I love educating our staff and making sure the all know of our protocols.​When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my 2 daughters, Jordan and Deanna, my son Austin, my rescue dog, Tinkerbell,  3 cats, Kiara, Cleopatra, and Aslan, and guinea pig named Peanut-butter Fudge. I love animals and people so working at FPC is great.​

Hi, my name is Tracey. I joined the FPC Team in July 2012. Before working here I went to school to become a nurse assistant, but changed career paths to work with animals. I hope to one day become a certified technician. I love working here because I get to work in every area of the hospital and I love the challenges! I have 2 Yorkies named Cody and Lily, and a special needs cat named Sarafina. In my free time I enjoy being outside, going to country concerts, and I love the Philadelphia Eagles. I love caring for all your furry family members like they are one of my own.

Hi, my name is Chrissy and I joined the FPC family after earning my CVT in May 2016. I graduated from Delaware Valley College in 2011 with a degree in Zoo Science. I recently came back from South Africa where I was working at a Baboon Sanctuary in their veterinary clinic.  I have two pitbulls named Everest and Raina, 3 cats named Ursula, Olga, and Quinton, and a raccoon named Tycoon. I enjoy spending my free time hiking with my dogs and husband and doing volunteer work with animals.

Hi, I’m Nicole. I started working at FPC in August 2013. I hold a Bachelors degree in Equine Science and Racing from Morrisville State College in NY. I also work at Parx Race Track as a Vet Assistant. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, weight lifting, and training for various half marathon races throughout the year. I have three cats Estrella, Luna ( in the picture), and Metzi.  I look forward to meeting you and your pets.

Hi, my name is Christine. I am a full time Veterinary Technician and  I have worked for FPC for a long time now (13 years +/- a few!).  I have a Bachelors Degree in Biotechnology and Conservation from Delaware Valley University and now I am currently in school to become a CVT at Penn Foster. I have an awesome son named Brantley and a 7 year old pitbull named Lacey. I enjoy going to concerts and being outside!

Hey, I’m Kirsten! I’m a full-time veterinary technician who joined the FPC Team in June 2015. Formerly a property manager with a background in accounting/finance, my love for animals took me in an exciting and rewarding direction. In 2009 I started working in veterinary medicine in the emergency setting. I currently work in treatment, surgery, and laser therapy, and I am the food guru so if you have any questions regarding prescription diets, just ask me! ​In my free time, I enjoy car shows, sporting events, and going to the shore. I’m a mom to my only daughter, and now a grandmom. I’ve had the pleasure of raising many “kiddies”, including: a German Shepherd, a Dog De Bordeaux, an African Grey Parrot, as well as Persian, Sphynx, and Domestic Short Hair cats. I currently love my cute kitten Salem (maine coon mix) and Mystic (Ragdoll).

Hi, my name is Tessa. I started working at FPC in June 2017. I have worked in the veterinary field for about 6 years. I have an associates degree in Business Management.  In my free time I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and going to Flyers games, car shows, and country concerts. I also enjoy doing makeup and fixing old muscle cars. I have a zoo of animals, including my three dogs a Yorkie (Chewbacca), Carolina Plott Hound (Simmonds), & a Jack Russell/Pitbull mix (Chevy), as well as, six cats (Clarke, Cubby, Knala, Simba,Colton,& Khali), and four aquatic turtles (Killian, Emma, Regina, & Henry).

Hi, my name is Jessica and I am one of the receptionists here at Family Pet Clinic. I started working at FPC in April of 2010. I had to leave for a while when I moved out of the area, but returned in April 2017 once I moved back! While I have a Bachelor’s degree in social work from Elizabethtown College, I have always loved working with animals. I especially love all big, fluffy dogs, having grown up with Saint Bernard’s myself. I recently lost my golden retriever Chase and I still find myself looking for him around the house. Thankfully, I do have one extremely curious tuxedo kitty named Puddy to keep my life interesting. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I can’t wait to meet your furry family as well!

Accounts Receivable Supervisor, Receptionist, & Vet Assistant

My name is Miriam. I started working as a receptionist at Family Pet Clinic in July 2016 and just recently started training to be a vet assistant.  Prior to joining the FPC team I worked in pet retail for eight years and am familiar with many of the products available for and basic care needs of a variety of pets both furry and not. I love them all! At home I have two dogs named Zora and Clayton, two parrots named Leonard and Desmond, a leopard gecko named Matilda, and a goldfish called Toes. In my off time when I am not caring for my pets, I can be found at the shooting range with my dad, taking photographs, riding horses, or climbing walls at the rock gym.

I just received my associate’s degree in Liberal arts from Bucks Community College. Now, I am currently attending school for physical therapy at Montco. In my free time I enjoy going to the gym and hanging out with my family and friends. I look forward to seeing everyone in the office!

Hi, my name is Katrina and I am a tech here at Family Pet Clinic. I just recently graduated Manor College’s Program of Veterinary Technology in December 2017 and passed my VTNE making me a certified technician! Later this year, I will be working towards my undergrad in Business and Practice Management to expand my knowledge in all departments of running a successful practice. At home I have three cats- Woosh, Sasha, and Bruce- who I love dearly. I have a super soft spot for overweight tabby cats, but I know I shouldn’t encourage the extra treats 😉 When not at work, I enjoy everything Philly sports has to offer and still get butterflies attending any and all games I can get to.

Hi, my name is Chris. I previously worked here at FPC for about five years and now I’m back. Here at FPC I work in the kennels. I have a love for the Brachycephalic dogs. I have two bulldogs Gracie & Stella, a pug named Mia, and a little Boston terrier named Elfie. In my free time I like to glass blow. I am currently taking classes at Bucks Community College for glass blowing. I also enjoy reading a good book and doing crossword puzzles.

Hi, my name is Hannah. I just started working here at FPC as a receptionist.  Before I started here I worked at an answering service for five years. In my free time I enjoy shopping, reading a good book, exploring nature, going to concerts, and spending time with my family. I have three cats Fievel,Homer, and Bandit. I love dogs and hope to get one in the future since a few years ago I lost my childhood dog Angel and I miss her dearly.

Hi, my name is Brianna. I started working at FPC in June 2018.  I currently attend the University of Delaware as a Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences major and Medical Diagnostics minor.  It has been a dream of mine since I was young to become a Veterinarian so working at FPC has played a huge part of that dream coming true!  In my free time I enjoy listening to music, doing yoga, and playing the ukulele.  I also love spending time with my adorable pets, Lexy (Cavachon) and Lilly (domestic shorthair).
